Husker Lawn and Leisure Show – TOP 10

HuskerLand Lshow-guyIs the Husker Lawn & Leisure Show a family-friendly event?

YES!

You may not immediately think that this weekend’s Husker Lawn & Leisure Show is for you and your family to attend. But here are some top reasons you might want to attend.

10. Kids 12 and under get in free. Only $5 admission per adult.

9. A wide variety of outdoor displays including landscaping & nursery, swimming pools & spas, mowers, wildflower, native grasses & seeds, kids play equipment and garage/storage solutions.

8. Stage featuring music Friday night, pond & waterfall construction class Saturday and landscape plant diversity workshop Sunday.

7.Iron Florist – come and see Nebraska’s finest florists compete against one another in a timed race to create the most outstanding themed floral arrangement! Saturday 1:30, 3:00 & 4:30 and Sunday 1:00 & 2:30

6. Meet Daisy Doe the Clown, Fabulous Felipe, Katie Rose, Krazy Kracker or Shades the Clown!

5.See an observation hive with LIVE BEES!

4. Help Plant the Seeds for the HARVEST OF BOOKS! Enjoy story time for the children and some surprises! Make a cash donation of $5 or more to the Harvest of Books and receive a hand-tied flower bouquet.

3.Children’s Planting Activity – Let’s “Cultivate New Gardeners.” A hands-on activity provided by Finke Gardens & Nursery and Farm Bureau Financial Services.

2. Cure your spring fever – INSIDE – instead of outside – the weekend forecast is a bit cold and gloomy but the Husker Lawn & Leisure Show will have lots of fresh, green signs of spring.
