Happy Fall! The Huskers are in town and there are many football related activities. But, we know that sometimes everyone needs a break from the frenzy so this post features some football, some fruit . . . There’s Always Something To Do In This Town. Go Huskers!
Home Depot – Kids Workshop
9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
Well, in honor of Husker Football, stop at Home Depot today and make a football display. This appears to be a wooden stand for holding a football. So, if you have a special one that is autographed, your first touchdown pass or just a penchant for crafts, this Saturday’s for you. We love the Home Depot crafts. The employees are always very helpful and encouraging to the kids. Plus, with a three hour window of time you can usually work this into your Saturday morning.
Martin’s Hillside Orchard
Lunch and Afternoon
If you aren’t the football type, you may want to seek out other forms of entertainment this weekend. Take a jaunt to Martin’s Hillside Orchard. Located at 2024 Ashland Road in Ceresco, NE, they are currently open for fresh picked raspberries, gala apples and peaches. They have a lovely butterfly garden for you to enjoy – we have always had good luck taking fall photos here. You can schedule an orchard tour by calling 402-665-2140. We took a tour two falls ago and had a lovely time – the kids learned a lot and made some great memories.
Husker Football vs. Western Kentucky
6:00 – 10:00 p.m.

Dwight puts the games on the big screen. $6.00 buys you a movie ticket good for a free movie within 2 weeks and you will get in to the game for free. Doors open at 4:00. For tickets call 466-2441.
